Manduria Italy, a town in Puglia, has history, culture and most notably, exceptional wine. Located in the “heel” of Italy, Manduria boasts a rich agricultural heritage, with sun-drenched vineyards stretching across its fertile land. The small town itself is quiet during the day but lively at night. It offers a respite on the way to beaches or wineries. My feeling is that it will eventually grow to become a popular spot since it is right in the middle of Primitivo vineyards, olive oil production and the gorgeous natural beaches of Campomarino!

It has a small historic center characterized by narrow, winding streets, with cute little restaurants. Beyond its quaintness, Manduria resonates with the warm hospitality of its locals.
Puglia is a wonderful region of Italy. You will fall in love with it, as I did. It is truly beautiful and unique. I suggest staying at least a week. This will allow you to see all its splendor. It will also let you soak up the wonderful culture and enjoy the delicious local cuisine. Other great towns to visit are Alberobello, Lecce, Locorotundo, Ostuni and Polignano a Mare. In addition, Matera (in the region of Basilicata) is amazing.

Manduria Italy Wineries

The undeniable star of Manduria Italy is Primitivo di Manduria, a robust red wine celebrated for its intense fruit flavors and full body. It’s delicious! This grape thrives in the region’s hot, dry climate, yielding wines that are both powerful and elegant. Numerous wineries dot the landscape. These wineries offer immersive experiences for visitors, from guided tours of vineyards and cellars to tasting sessions showcasing the diverse expressions of Primitivo.
Masseria Cuturi

Masseria Cuturi is an absolute gem, nestled within over 600 acres of breathtaking land in Manduria Italy. This stunning estate is home to expansive vineyards, olive groves, and a serene forest, all surrounding a beautifully restored Masseria. The main building serves as both a winery and a beautifully decorated hotel, offering guests an unparalleled experience. The property is an oasis, with acres of vineyards, towering cactuses, and wide-open spaces, reminiscent of a grand ranch in the Southwest United States—truly a surprising and awe-inspiring sight in Italy.

The Masseria itself offers a variety of accommodations, from luxurious rooms to unique glamping experiences, perfect for every type of traveler. The friendly and attentive staff will make you feel right at home, ensuring that every moment is special. Without a doubt, they have really good organic wine —Cuturi’s Primitivo.

The room we stayed in was equally stunning, spacious, and comfortable, with a magnificent terrace offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. Breakfast each morning was a true treat, and it was the perfect way to start the day surrounded by such beauty in Manduria Italy.
